Vision:
Our aggressive attorneys utilize state-of-the-art technologies and developments in the law to lower the cost of attorney's fees while providing greater access and responsiveness to client needs as the hallmarks of our service. By relying on advances in technology to decrease our ultimate overhead expenses, we are able to provide excellent legal representation at a reduced cost. Simultaneously, our utilization of up-to-date technology allows us to set higher levels of client contact as our standard.
Technological Advances:
The following technological tools are either presently in use or slated to be implemented during 1997:
a high speed computer with a high speed modem on every desk -- facilitates prompt completion of computer-related tasks, including network and interoffice communications/data transmittal; reduces attorney time spent "re-creating the wheel" by providing instant database access to work product prepared for prior similar matters;
e-mail accounts -- each attorney assigned to a particular matter is instantly available via electronic mail; additionally, as courts increasingly come to favor electronic submission of litigation papers, our attorneys will routinely effect service of documents directly from the desktop;
internet presence -- we use our web-page (http://www.DNDLLP.com) to provide research links to free legal databases and governmental access sites offered on the internet (minimizing some of the costs of on-line legal research often passed on to clients), to publish firm materials and newsletters, and to provide general information about our firm;
intranet network -- secure database/network affording clients the opportunity to "dial in" and connect, via password, in order to pre-review bills and obtain up-to-the-minute status reports on files (the intranet will also facilitate inter-office communications between our attorneys);
computerized dictation software -- by enabling our attorneys to dictate directly into word processing software, this device minimizes wasted secretarial time spent transcribing multiple drafts and making corrections; and
document imaging/optical storage database -- improves utility and searchability of discovery materials and depositions/witness testimony; key documents can be scanned and stored on optical media, forming a searchable computer database for instantaneous retrieval and use.
